But before we start, don't make me post pics of the fools who were typing in chats about how they use all this bs in PC. I'm trying to be civil. No need to berate anyone. For the players who do cheat. Look what you've done to this game, and it's community! I hope you're proud of yourselves. Your lust for recognition in a video game, of all things, has players at each others throats. The only way to truly be good is to put down the modded controllers, lag switches, and God knows whatever else you have evolved to, and play normal. If you really want to prove that you aren't the source of the lag then play normal for a month. If things continue to be lagged out then it isn't you guys, but if the game plays 10x better for the whole community well.... Bob your uncle eh? I don't understand you guys. You're so hell bent on being "the best", but not willing to prove that you truly are. Being the best isn't about having an atom bomb at your disposal. It's about being honorable first! There are many ways to be the best in this game. It's not all about numbers either. You're small circle of trusted cheaters cares about kd, but everyone else just wants to play without lag. Most don't care about being the best. This isn't C.O.D.! This game is so much more than just an fps shooter. Other shooters can't compare to dust, but you're ruining it! The player base is dying, but you don't care. No one can even really play PC with any true hope of competing because you've taken it over. It's not for the elites it's full of cheaters. Not all for sure as I've had some normal battles, and some of you play fair. I can't say all of you play with handicaps, but you may be playing right alongside of them, and not even know it. I may be playing right alongside of them, and not even know it. This playerbase should've been huge by now! This game is awesome! CCP, regardless to how much we bash them, are awesome! We're sitting here bickering over weapon differences, tank v AV, and other trivial things while some losers, who are obviously not good at the game seeing as they need all of this crap to win, is ruining the game and playerbase for all of us. My message to anyone using any modifications. You're not better than anyone playing this game! You use modifications to boost your numbers, and survive when you're in trouble. Those players beat you fair and square, and you couldn't take your beating like a man. For you it's not about building corps, isk for battles, or anything that is actually important for dust players. You, like in other games, only care about a number to brag about. You're a bunch of C.O.D. players that couldn't beat true C.O.D. players so you came to the dust community with all you're tricks. It's easy to sort you lot out, and that's why you get called cheaters. You can't stay in a corp for 5 mins. You give up on matches, not because it's a loss cause, but because it's harmful to your kd. You're not leaders at all, and at the first sign of trouble you abandon your mates. You can't be trusted, and when your name is in the chat mic bubbles dissappear. You're the worst kind of merc. One without loyalty and a spine. If you want to continue to be a part of this community as it moves forward in the eve universe, and in other games, be the first to put away the switch and modded controller. It doesn't make you any better than you truly are. It makes you worse. You soon become dependant on those tools, and will find that you probably couldn't kill a newb. Look around ffs. Players are boosting SP to catch up to you. They're buying modded controllers to compete. DDOS attacks, and trying to hack. It's all ubsurd. Is this what you wanted? The game to die like mag? A dying player base? Wake up! This has gotten ridiculous. "Anybody order chaos?"

You obviously have no clue how a lag switch works. It is literally impossible to lag switch in dust. You have to be HOSTING the game, and since CCP hosts the game, it is only possible for CCP devs to lag switch in dust. There are other ways to lag out the game though. Overloading hardware specs is about the only viable way to lag out dust via equipment spam, explosions, ect. Also, CCP tries to normalize ping rates of all players in a match. What this means is that a player from say brazil, who has a crap ping (say he pings at 400,) gets his ping boosted to say 200, while an american player who has a good ping (lets say 120,) will have his REDUCED to 200 to compensate for other players low ping. This is why matches with players from other countries become giant lag fests, and why japanese corps (great pings) and latino corps (crap pings) tend to be the biggest culprits of lag. Yeah I know, "you have to be hosting the game". But you don't sir. What you're referring to isn't exacty true, and yes by now everyone knows how a lag switch works. There's just those who refuse to stoop to that level. It may not work in the way you're thinking, but it works in this game. So does modded controllers. Very well in fact. My concern isn't who's using them. Those trolls I couldn't care anything about. I'm more concerned with the effects it has on the game. CCP claims the lag isn't them right? They say the game, according to all their math, works fine. We know it doesn't. What if the lag, or whatever you want to call it, is actually cause by things CCP didn't design the game to withstand? That would explain why they think the lag is not caused by anything being wrong with their servers right? Well they didn't design it for modded controllers, lag switches, or any type of modded advantages did they? This isn't about bashing the so-called "good players", or guys who use the modifications. I do wish they'd stop, but we bother know that won't happen. This is about trying to find solutions to problems. If drawing the communities best and brightest together causes us to reach more and more fixes then fine. I'm your huckleberry! What I do know is it isn't helping anything for sure. The ScR nerf hurt normal players? Lolololol. So a weapon that could fire faster than humanly possible is nerfed down to human standards, and it hurt the normal player? You are seriously diggin yourself a deeper hole talking about things you know little to nothing about. Go back and look at some of those ScR nerf threads, you will see "normal" players like me who were all for a slight nerf on the ScR, because modded pads were an issue. The little outrage there was, was from either modded pad users or those who feared that CCP would OVER nerf the weapon. I am a ScR user, and followed those threads daily, so I know what Im talking about. Not all internets are created equal, it is a well known FACT (do some research for once in your life,) that some countries simply have better or worse networks. The central/south american countries are prime examples. They simply dont have the infrastructure in their countries to have a "top teir" connection yet. You cant just call up a better provider in brazil, its just not there. I have seen this in other MMOs as well as dust. Let me ask you this -- why were the first months of PC complete lag fests. Im talking less than 1fps. I can show you videos from my old corpmates (who were australian, playing against americans and euros) where they were completely frozen for near the entire match, or just outright DC'd. This was before anyone even used modded pads. CCP's servers are broken, their coding is bad, and they haven't completely fixed it. I dont know how long you have been around, but I have been here longer than most (eve beta key days,) and I can tell you that PC, and the servers in general, have gotten MUCH better since its inception. The modded pads were the issue, but why nerf in-game mechanics because of out of game mechanics? InitIally ScR users feared a TacAR nerf for their favorite rifle didn't they? This still doesn't make modded controllers ok, and you still don't know if they have an effect on the players they're against do you? That's my only issue. Playing some players in this game causes systems to freeze. The actual playstation freezes! I know though you guys have an excuse for all technical networking issues in this game..... why is that? I wouldn't dare insult another country in that way, but you're right. Not everyone plays from "america"?! South american players do cause lag or latency, but that's manageable to a degree. Some say euro players are worse, and euro guys say american. We have now clearly reached an agreement here sir! However, we are apparently referring to two very different types of lag. One is simply due to, as you all say, where you're located. The other.... not so much. The latter is what players are, as you say here in this wasteland, QQing about. Where whole guys skip 5 meters to safety, stop taking damage at 0/0, and a whole host of other issues. Me and you being in the states, and our enemy being in Spain doesn't cause that.
